How We Work

First of all, we don't do anything without coming to see you and discussing your requirements. The initial discussion is free.

Assuming we like each other and are mutually satisfied that an ICE database would be a suitable solution to your problem, we will prepare a detailed estimate, setting out what is to be done and how much it is likely to cost. We are pretty good at estimating, but if it becomes clear during the course of the work that there will be cost overruns (or underruns) we will notify you immediately.

We use the RAD (Rapid Application Development) development method, whereby we familiarise ourselves thoroughly with how your people work and then produce prototypes of the database structure, screen forms, reports and functionality.

Work is invoiced as agreed milestones are reached, for payment within 14 days.

When you are satisfied that the prototype is what you want, we install and commission the live application. If required, we will arrange for the input of historical records. We instruct your staff and provide them with illustrated User Notes.

There is a warranty period of 90 days, during which time any faults will be rectified free. Thereafter, if you wish, we will provide support under a maintenance contract, or you can call on us, as and when necessary, for alterations and enhancements, which are charged-for on an hourly basis.
