Purchase Orders

When we started in business, purchase orders were the exception.  In fact budgets were the exception, even in some very large companies.  In these leaner, meaner times you can’t do without them.

The fact is that if people have to get a purchase order signed off by someone in authority, they don’t spend as much money!  How many times have you seen totally unnecessary stuff ordered because ‘the salesman is very friendly, and we may as well stock up’?  Small stationery items are typical.  Have a look in your store room and see how many dozen erasers are there, or plastic filing trays, or nobby little gadgets for keeping pens in.  (We’ve got hundreds…)
